Origins

Thyro was born out of love in a small village in the north of Portugal – more precisely on the estate of Quinta de Vilarinho, in the Douro Wine Region. With time it also took root on the estate of Quinta da Enxertada, in another small village, São Martinho de Mouros, which is also the last parish of the Demarcated Green Wine Region.

Its intention is to act as a link between past and future generations, without pretentiousness or individualism. On the contrary, it is a project that brings together different perspectives and interests. It is wine making with as little intervention as possible, and with the greatest respect for and integration in the surrounding landscape and cultural and social contexts. Wines with soul and products with roots.
